Ebay coupé press?

I am looking for a car on ebay. There are some really nice cars on ebay. I was curious about how to purchase a saloon on ebay because i do not understand what a reserve and buy it now price is. I found a few nice cars on ebay but they are so nice and the price is sooooooooo cheap.
If i bought one of these cars will i only hold to pay the bidding price?

It is my close watch that the reserve price is often near the buy it now price. eBay is an auction so the superlative bidder wins the item if that highest price is higher than the reserve price. I own bought cars on ebay and sold some too. I was very happy near the Volvo S70 I bought.

Good luck with your bidding and I hope your car is everything you wish for!!

Buy it now means if you click that...the auction ends and you are the winning bidder. Reserve is the minimum amount the trader will accept for the vehicle. Make sure if you do bid that you have inspected the vehicle and asked any related questions earlier you bid. Also...make sure to have funds in place to pay envelope for the item. You cannot be the winning bidder and then try to arrange financing. Most sellers will start bad with a very low first bid amount just to capture the ball rolling. Make sure to check the value of the cars against others being sold. Feedback can be willing to help but is no guarantee the seller is reputable. It can be manipulated. You should also contact the seller, by phone of possible to verify information and see if it could be a scam.
I also agree with all above, and especially near the one directly above. You really should start out smaller if you don't understand eBay fully yet. There are some unspoken rules on eBay ... such as, if the seller doesn't mention something self included with the item, then you aren't allowed to be upset when it's not there. This is inside reason of course. I found this lesson out early. I bought a postage scramble and I got it cheaper than all the others. Once it came I notice there was no power cord. I told the seller, and he said the book did not mention a power cord, I got exactly what I bid on. Which turned out okay, I just have to buy a 9V battery-operated for it every year and a half. But that's a good example. Ask your seller every grill you can think of. And then ask him if there is anything else you should know.

Another piece ... when a seller sets a reserve it's automatically hidden ... this does not mean you can't write the retailer and ask them what it's set at. Tell them you don't want to bid until you know, and if they're smart they'll tell you. I wouldn't bid unless I knew. Auctions have a infatuation of sucking people in ... they're designed that way. And the reserve auctions suck you within the hardest if you're bidding blind.
The reserve is the minimum bid the seller will adopt. If the reserve is not met, the vehicle can be withdrawn and not sold. On the other side of that is the buy it price. You want it now, pay that price and the bids are closed.

Do you really construe it's a good idea to buy a car you can't see from a stranger on a computer? Most of them own this also: "Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping." which means you have to go bring it in most cases. Also you don't see the title until you go to pick it up, which can lead to more problems.

I'd suggest a read here: http://reviews.ebay.com/Car-Scams-Beware…
I agree with all of the above, but I will also put in that since you seem to have a very predetermined idea of how ebay works that you should start small and buy some other items before jumping into a most important purchase such as a car!
Will you merely have to pay the bidding price? Essentially yes. However, a reserve is the minimum price the seller is likely to accept. It's probably pretty close to the buy it now price. Buy it now prices are the price you can payment if you just want to buy it now and not wait for the completion of the auction to see if your bid is the highest.
Buy it presently price means that the seller is willing to close the auction and deal in you the item if you are willing to pay that "buy it now" price. It's usually pretty high.

Reservse, mode that no matter what the bids are, the seller will not sell it below the reserve helpfulness. Which is usually hidden.

Hope this helps.
as you can see the current bid is extremely low but all have not met the seller's reserve (minimum) price. i haven't bought a motor via ebay but a couple of things i would consider before buying one.

- unless i can get to see the car and hold it inspected/car fax i wouldn't bid. many of these will be in other states.
- add surrounded by the cost of transporting the vehicle from where it is to your home
- add the cost of registering it in your state and title/inspection costs assuming it is an out of state purchase
- check the seller's ebay profile. they should be 98%+ and own made several auto sales via ebay motors. keep in mind used vehicle salesmen are often right up there with politicians and lawyer on the integrity scale

best of luck!
